CA Foundation Fees Overview

CA is considered a highly professional course. However, the fee for this is relatively reasonable as compared to any other high-standard professional course in India.

CA Foundation is the first step in the journey of becoming a certified Chartered Accountant after passing class 12th exams or graduating. The CA Foundation Fees is very less than the CA Intermediate and CA Final.

The fee structure for CA Foundation includes the mandatory Registration fee and exam form fee charged by ICAI. The other important part is the tuition fee for CA coaching classes.

ICAI also charges a fee for the various facilities it provides and late fees whenever applicable.

CA Foundation Registration Fees

During the CA Foundation registration process, students are required to submit the fees as per the ICAI guidelines. The registration fee is divided into the following components:

• Prospectus: ICAI charges a nominal fee for the prospectus given to students at the beginning of the CA Foundation. It is a mandatory option for students.
• Registration Fee: CA Foundation Registration fee charged by ICAI is Rs. 9,000.
• Student’s Journal: Students can choose to pay for the one-year subscription for Student’s Journal.
• Member’s Journal: The payment of a one-year subscription fee for a member’s journal is optional.

So in total, the Registration Fee for CA Foundation Course is Rs. 9,200 (9,800 is optional).

Exclusive Update: CA Foundation Registration Fee 75% Concession

ICAI has declared a 75% concession in the Registration Fee for students of all CA Levels. For the CA Foundation level, the new registration amount is given below:

As per the announcement, this facility is available only for the students who are the residents in these states and areas: newly formed territories of J&K, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.

According to this provision, students can register for CA levels and benefit from fee concession until 31st March 2022.

CA Foundation Exam Form Fees/Application Form Fees

As per the norms of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, students who have completed the registration process for CA Foundation are required to fill and submit the online Application Form along with the CA Foundation Exam Form Fees.

The CA Foundation Fees for Application Form/Exam Form is based on the exam center selected by a student.

ICAI gives two last dates for filling the online CA Foundation Exam Form—last date without late fee and last date with a late fee. If students are unable to submit the form by the last (without late fee), they have to pay the additional sum with the application form fee.

Note:- The CA Foundation Exam Form Fee can be paid through a Credit Card/Debit Card/Rupay Card/BHIM UPI/Net Banking. Bank charges of such facilities are also added to the candidate’s payable fee amount.

Other CA Foundation Fees & Charges

CA Foundation Registration Renewal Fee

The validity period of CA Foundation registration is three years giving you two attempts each year. If you want to appear in the CA Foundation Exam after this, then you have to pay a registration renewal fee of Rs. 300.

Converting from CPT to CA Foundation 

The fee charged for converting your CPT Course registration to CA Foundation Course registration is Rs. 500. This is applicable only if your CPT Registration is still valid.

Paper Verification Fee

After the CA Foundation Results are declared, you can apply for the verification of your answer sheets. A fee of Rs. 100 will be charged for verification of each CA Foundation paper. The maximum application for verification allowed is for four papers.

Supply of certified copies of evaluated answer books

You can also request to get certified copies of your CA Foundation Exams evaluated answer books from ICAI. For this purpose, you will have to submit a fee of Rs. 500 per paper. You must send the application within 30 days from the result declaration date.

Issue of Duplicate Mark Sheet

ICAI provides your original CA Foundation mark sheet free of cost. But if you have lost your original mark sheet, you can get a duplicate mark sheet from ICAI after a payment of Rs.100 plus Rs. 40 as postal charges.

Fees for Issuing Duplicate Pass Certificate/Rank Certificate

You can also request a duplicate pass certificate/rank certificate by making a payment of Rs. 200 along with Rs. 40 for postal charges.
