How to Score 60+ Marks in Advance Accounting CA Inter Exam

How to score 60+ marks in advance accounting ca inter

If you are doing CA Inter, you know how important the Advance Accounting paper is. Many students join CA Coaching to learn better. Some students do self-study, some study with friends. But everyone has one dream – to score more than 60 marks. You may be thinking, “Is it possible for me?” Yes, it is! If some simple steps are followed, it can be done. It can be planned together while talking like friends.

1. Know your syllabus

Before you start, you must know what is in your book. In advance accounting ca inter, there are chapters like Partnership, Company Accounts, Amalgamation, and many more. If you don’t know the syllabus, you will miss some topics. I remember one student saying, “I studied so much, but still got low marks.” The reason was simple – he left some topics by mistake.
So, the first step is clear – know the whole syllabus before you start.

2. Make a small study timetable

You cannot study everything in one day. You need a plan. A timetable that suits you can be made by you. Maybe studying in the morning is liked by you, or maybe studying at night is liked by you. It is said by some people, “Studying will be done whenever it is felt like.” But that doesn’t work in CA Inter. You must fix a time for Accounts every day. Even 2 hours daily is fine if you use it well.

3. Understand, don’t just learn

Advance Accounting CA Inter is not like history. You cannot just read and remember. You must understand why things are done. In my CA Coaching days, my teacher used to say, “If you understand the concept, you will never forget it.” For example, if you know why depreciation is charged, you can solve any depreciation question easily.
So, focus more on ‘why’ instead of just ‘how’.

4. Practice with pen and paper

Many students only read questions in their mind. That’s a big mistake. In exams, you must write. The more you write, the faster you will get in the exam. Accounts is all about solving sums step by step. If you don’t practice writing, you will get stuck during the real paper.
So, every day, solve at least 2–3 questions with your pen.

5. Make short notes

Short notes are your best friend during revision. You can write all formulas, formats, and important points in one small notebook. When exams come close, you can quickly revise them.
One of my friends made colour-coded notes – blue for theory, red for formulas. It made revision so easy for her.

6. Learn to manage time in exams

In the CA Inter Accounts paper, time goes very fast. Some students leave questions because time is over. To avoid that, you must practice full papers at home. Set a timer for 3 hours and try to complete the whole paper. If you do this 3–4 times before the exam, you will feel more confident.

7. Do past year papers and mock tests

If you want more than 60 marks, you cannot skip past year papers. They show you what type of questions come again and again. Mock tests also help you know your mistakes before the real exam. In CA Coaching, teachers often give mock tests. Don’t skip them – they are like a free practice match before the big game.

8. Revise, revise, and revise again

Revision is the real secret to scoring high marks. If you study something once and never look at it again, you will forget it. Make a rule – revise each chapter at least 3 times before the exam. You can revise once after learning it, again after one week, and then just before the exam.

9. Stay positive and take care of health

Studying well cannot be done if you are tired or worried. Healthy food should be eaten, good sleep should be taken, and small breaks should be taken. Sometimes, studying without breaks is kept on by students, and sickness is caused. That is not smart. A fresh mind can learn much faster.

10. Believe in yourself

Many students think, “I am not good at Accounts.” But trust me, you can improve.Weak students have been seen by me becoming toppers because giving up was not done by them. If practising is kept on and positivity is maintained, getting better every day will be done by you.

Final Words

Scoring more than 60 marks in CA Inter Accounts is possible for anyone who studies smart. Your syllabus just needs to be known, a timetable needs to be made, concepts need to be understood, writing needs to be practised, short notes need to be made, time needs to be managed, past papers need to be done, revision needs to be done often, and care of yourself needs to be taken.
