Important Update 2020:
ICAI has finally announced CA Intermediate Nov 2020 Examination dates. CA Foundation Nov 2020 Examination is going to start from 9th November, 11th November, 15th November and 17th November 2020.
CA Exam Cancelled/Postponed: ICAI on 3rd July issued the notification for the cancellation of the CA May 2020 Examination. ICAI said that due to spreading and severity on COVID-19, we have decided to Cancel CA Foundation/Intermediate/ Final examination and merge with CA Nov 2020 Examination.
CA Foundation Eligibility
Below is the CA Foundation Nov 2020 eligibility.
Students are eligible to appear in the CA Foundation Examination only after qualifying the senior secondary (10+2) examination conducted by an examining body. After registration with ICAI, Students are required to complete a minimum of 4 months study period starting from the date of registration in order to be eligible to appear in the Foundation Examination, i.e., students registered on or before 31st December will be eligible to appear in May examination and on or before 30th June for November examination, as the case may be.
As per the revised CA Foundation Course of Institute of Chartered Accountant of India, the aspirant of CA shall be required to pass the CA Foundation Examination instead of Common Proficiency Test to enter in CA Course.
Consequently, the registration for the Common Proficiency Course (CPC) shall discontinue effect from July 1 2017 though exams of students enrolled before July 2017 for Common Proficiency Test will be conducted till June 2019.

Steps for filling CA Foundation Registration Form Online Nov 2020 Examination. ( Latest)
Step 1- Students who are registering for the very first time for CA Foundation Examination, should click here.
You will be taken to this screen. Please fill your required details and click on Generate OTP. You will receive OTP in your mobile phone and the verification link will be sent to your concerned mail ID.
Step 2- Now Students are required to enter the captcha text and submit it for receiving OTP.
Step 3- For validation, an OTP will be sent
Step 4- Fill the OTP and by validating complete the login process
Step 5- Once you complete the OTP Validations, you will receive the login details on Email/SMS so that you can log in. You can log in here.
Step 6- After you log in, you have to provide the necessary credentials in the registration form. There you also have to upload the scanned copies of your original documents.
Details mentioned in the CA Foundation BOS Registration 2020 are:

Step 7- Now you need to upload your scanned photograph and signature. The maximum image ratio should be width: 21 cm and length: 27 cm.

Below are the documents which are required for the ICAI CA Foundation Registration Process-
- Appearing students are required attested copy of mark sheet/ Admit card of their 12th Class.
- For international students, they required a copy of proof for their citizenship.
- For the SC/ST/OBC special category students, they are required to submit the certificate of proof.
- A Latest photos of appearing students to affix on the registration form.
- A copy of the 10th mark sheet, which shows student name and date of birth.
While filling the CA Foundation Registration form, candidates should take into consideration the following points
Follow the below points to avoid error in CA Foundation registration form.
- After filling the Online Form, a candidate has to pay the required fees online using the payment gateway.
- On successful payment, the system will automatically generate the Form. Then take the print of the form.
- Along with print out of the online registration form, following documents are to be submitted to concerned Regional Office of ICAI within 7 days of the date of online registration
- The duly signed printout of online successful registration form in hard copy
- One recent colour photograph (affixed on the printout of the online successful registration form)
- Attested copy of the 10th Marksheet/ Admit Card of 10th class indicating the Name & Date of Birth
- Attested copy of Admit Card / Mark sheet of Class 12 examination issued by the respective Board
- If student is a foreigner, then attested copy of proof of Nationality should also be submitted,
- For students of reserved category and disabled students, attested copy of proof of special category certificate i.e SC/ST, OBC and Differently abled should be provided.

After successful completion of CA Foundation Registration, students are also required to fill the CA Foundation application form for appearing in Foundation Examination. The registration in Foundation Course is valid for 3 years. It can be revalidated any number of times for a further 3 years period by paying a revalidation fee of Rs. 300/-.

Passing Criteria for Foundation Examination
A Foundation Course candidate shall be declared to have passed the examination if he/ she obtains at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all the papers, subject to of negative marking.
