Total Fees for CA Course for Foundation, Intermediate & Final

In this section, we will be covering the CA fee structure for all levels and give a breakdown of each fee that they will be paying during their CA journey. In general, the total CA course fee is Rs 3-4 lakhs including the necessary registration fees along with the coaching for each level.

CA Foundation Fees

Below you can check the fees associated with the CA Foundation Course for 2024 in an easy table format. In it, you can overview the costs of CA Foundation courses.

Coaching institute fees typically range between Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 45,000. Keep in mind, though, that this estimate should only be seen as an approximate figure as fees can differ across institutes. The subscription charges for journals are not compulsory. Yet it is advisable to subscribe to them as it will keep aspirants updated about the study materials and other CA course details. 

So if a student chooses to coach, the total costs would amount to around Rs. 56,300 when taking into account both coaching fees (Rs. 45,000) and examination costs (Rs. 11,300).

The registration for the CA Foundation course is valid for three years. Hence, students who don’t clear the exam can re-appear again but they only need to pay the examination fees on each attempt they take. Students must ensure that they submit the examination form within the deadline. In case they pay after the deadline mentioned, they will incur a late fee of Rs. 600.

CA Intermediate Fees

Now, the next section on the CA Course Fees is about the CA Intermediate exam fee. The table below shows the overview of the fee structure as well as the individual breakdown for the CA Intermediate Course.

Students can register for CA Intermediate via either Foundation or Direct entry routes. So those who are registering through Foundation routes are eligible to choose either single or both groups at once. However, graduate students must register for both groups. The Student’s Activity Fees for CA Intermediate are to be paid once when completing the CA Intermediate registration.

The CA Intermediate registration fees for a single group are Rs. 13,000 and Rs. 18,000 for both groups. Students should pay the fees online during the completion of the registration. Besides the CA Intermediate exam form fees for both the groups is Rs. 2700 whereas it is Rs. 1500 for a single group.

Students registering via the direct entry route must pay Rs. 200 towards the journal fee.

Before beginning articleship training and after enrolling on the CA Intermediate course, students are required to undergo the ICITSS training – comprised of IT training and an orientation program.

The fees for these programs are as follows:

• Information Technology Program – Rs 6500/-
• Orientation Program – Rs 7000/-

CA Final Fees

The CA Final course fee for both groups is Rs. 39800 and Rs. 38300 for a single group. It is inclusive of the CA Final registration fees of Rs. 22,000 and the exam form fees of Rs. 3300 for both the groups and Rs. 1800 for a single group.

Students who have successfully cleared the CA Intermediate exams along with the Articleship can proceed with the registration by paying the above-mentioned CA course fees for the CA Final.

When submitting the exam form, students can appear either in one group or both groups. Hence, if appearing for both groups, they must pay Rs. 3300 and if for a single group, the fees are Rs. 1800.

Besides this, candidates must also complete the AICITSS training during the final two years of articleship training. So it includes two programs: the Advanced Information Training program and the Management and Communication Skills program. The fees for the program are as follows:

• Advanced Information Technology Program – Rs. 7500/-
• Management and Communication Skills – Rs. 7000/-

Students must also complete 2 years of Articleship training; candidates can register upon completing either single or both groups of CA Intermediate exams. They also need to pay the articleship training registration fees of Rs. 2000.

Many CA Final students choose customized coaching designed to their specific needs, with approximate costs for online or offline lessons covering all subjects ranging between Rs 70,000 to Rs 90,000. Although this estimate can vary considerably.

So for an all-subject CA Final with coaching included, the total costs could come to approximately Rs 39,800 plus coaching cost. So this could cost approximately Rs 1 lakhs or more. 

Total Fees for CA Course for 5 years

In general, the total CA course fees for 5 years starting from CA Foundation comes to Rs 85,300. Whereas for direct-entry students, the fee is Rs. Rs. 76,200. So these are the general fees that go towards the registration.

The CA Course fees and duration will depend entirely on each student’s circumstances, from those taking only a single exam attempt through to those needing multiple attempts before passing, which increases both duration as well as fees related to tuition classes, study material and exam forms.
