New Marking Scheme as per UP Board Class 11 Maths Syllabus (in English)

UP Board has released the new marking scheme after the UP Board Class 11 Maths Syllabus was reduced by 30%. You should make a note of the new marking scheme for Maths.

The marking scheme for the Class 11 Maths syllabus is given below. There is no chapter-wise marking scheme provided by the board. For example: if you are preparing unit 1 for 29 marks, you should consider all the three chapters: Sets, Functions, Trigonometric Functions.

Unit I Sets and Functions

Chapter 1: Sets

Topics covered in Syllabus

Sets and their representations, Empty set, Finite and Infinite sets, Equal sets, Subsets, Subsets of a set of real numbers especially intervals (with notations), Power set, Universal set, Venn diagrams, Union and Intersection of sets.

Chapter 2: Relations and Functions

Topics covered in Syllabus

Ordered pairs, Cartesian product of sets, Number of elements in the Cartesian product of two finite sets. 

Cartesian product of the set of real numbers with itself (upto R x R only), Definition of relation, pictorial diagrams, domain, co-domain and range of a relation. 

Function as a special type of relation, Pictorial representation of a function, domain, co-domain and range of a function. 

Real valued functions, domain and range of these functions, constant, identity, polynomial, rational, modulus, signum, exponential, logarithmic and greatest integer functions, with their graphs.

Chapter 3: Trigonometric Functions
