Bihar Board 12th Exam Date 2024 Compartment/supplementary
The students who fail to score passing marks in one or more subjects in Bihar Board 12th/Intermediate Exams can reappear in the supplementary exams. It gives students a second chance to improve their percentage. The dates for compartment exams are released by Bihar School Education Board after the results are declared for the main exams held in February. The Supplementary Bihar Board Exams for result improvement usually take place in May. Last year the compartment exams were held from 1 May to 11 May.
The Supplementary or Compartment Exams for Bihar Board class 12th 2024 starts from the 1st week of May 2024 and results are to be announced in the 3rd week of May 2024. (Please Note: These are tentative dates.)

Bihar Board 12th Examination Pattern for class 12th
The Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) changed the examination pattern for class 12th exams held in schools affiliated to it. These major changes affect how you prepare for your exams. The number of additional subjects was increased along with the passing marks required.
Students have the option to select only one language between English and Hindi for Paper 1. Instead of the paper divided into 2 for 5 marks, the whole paper will be for 100 marks.
Students can select any of the 12 optional languages for the second language paper. But they are not allowed to repeat the same language selected in Paper 1.
The 3 compulsory subjects form the different streams will be of 100 marks each.
Bihar School Education Board has introduced an additional sixth subject. It will be related to the chosen stream.
Now the students will give exams for 2 language subjects, 3 main subjects from a particular stream and 1 additional subject from the same stream (6 in total.) If a student fails one of the 3 main subjects and, or scores higher marks in the additional subject, the marks of this additional subject (6th paper) will be evaluated as the main subject.
