The National Institute of Open Schooling will announce the NIOS Result 12th for the October 2023 session in Jan 2024. Since the results were prepared based on a special Assessment Scheme, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has decided that no NIOS toppers list will be announced this year.

How to check NIOS 12th Result 2024?

You have to follow these simple steps to check your NIOS 12th Result:

1. Open this website- results.nios.ac.in.

2. You will see the Public Examination Result- Secondary and Senior Secondary. Click on the Check Result under it.

3. Enter your enrollment number.

4. Then enter the Captcha code and click submit.

5. Your NIOS 12th Result Marksheet will be shown which you can download or print.

How to check NIOS Result 12th through SMS?

At times due to poor network connection or no internet facility or server load on the website, you can’t see your NIOS Result. In such situations, you can use the SMS method to see your NIOS class 12th result.

All you have to do is type NIOS12 on an SMS and send to this number: 5676750.

You will receive your NIOS 12th Result marksheet on your phone via SMS.

How to check NIOS Result for class 12th on Digilocker?

1. Register on Digilocker. Use a working mobile number for the registration process.

2. Complete the process and enter your details.

3. When your account will be linked with the Aadhar Card, then you will be able to see your NIOS Result 12th.

NIOS 12th Result Marksheet Correction Procedure

If you find any spelling errors or any wrong information, then you can apply for correction within 30 days after the results are declared.

You need to submit an application for the same at your study center. After the corrections are made, you will receive another Result marksheet.

NIOS Result 12th- Assessment Scheme (2024)

As we have told earlier that the board cancelled some of the NIOS class 12th exams, an assessment scheme was made to award marks for the cancelled papers. You can refer to the below points to understand how the marks were given to you in papers which were cancelled.

1. For students who have passed in 4 papers, the average of the highest three scores will be considered for the giving marks in the canceled paper.
2. For students who have passed in 3 papers, the average of the highest two scores will be considered for the giving marks in the canceled paper.
3. For students who have passed in 1 or 2 papers, then for the canceled exams, the theory papers’ marks will be based on the average of the last three public exams.
4. The marks of Tutor Marked Assignments and Practical Exams will also be used to assess the performance.

Rechecking and Revaluation of NIOS Result for 12th Class

If you are not satisfied with the NIOS results and marks awarded to you for performance in exams in any one or more subjects, then you can apply for re-totalling or re-evaluation of your answer copies.

You should note that your marks can either be reduced or increased during revaluation. In case of reduction in marks, the scores were given to you originally will be reflected in the marksheet. If the increase in marks is 5% or more, only then new marks will be given.

You can apply for the rechecking/revaluation of your NIOS Result within 15 days of result declaration.

Passing criteria:

33% marks in each subject (both theory and practical sections) and aggregate as well.

Certification Criteria

Passed in at least five subjects (including one language)

Even if you have already passed a subject and want to improve your performance or marks in any of the subjects, then you can give improvement exams for class 12th conducted by NIOS.

To appear in the NIOS 12th improvement exams, you need to apply online. In practical subjects, you need to give theory and practical exams again.

The better marks will be reflected in the mark sheet.
