ICAI CA Final Course – Important Dates, Registration, Syllabus

CA Final is the last stage of the Chartered Accountancy course. After passing the CA Intermediate exams, students need to register themselves for the CA Final exams, which they can give after undergoing CA Articleship Training for three years.

CA Final Course comprises 2 groups, which are divided into 3 subjects each. To appear in the CA Final examination, students have to complete the various procedures then they are eligible to sit in the CA Final examination.

Details regarding CA Final Exam

CA final exams are conducted twice a year. Students need to register for the CA final exams to be eligible for appearing CA Final exam. Students can check the updated CA Final exam dates For exam.

CA Final Eligibility

ICAI has set the eligibility Criteria for all the levels of CA i.e., Foundation, Intermediate, and Final. Before appearing for the CA Final Examination, students should check the eligibility criteria for the CA Final 2026 Examination.

ICAI will allow students to sit in the Examination only if they fulfill the criteria below. It is applicable for CA Final New Course eligibility and Old Course Eligibility.

• The appearing candidate must have cleared both groups of the CA Intermediate/CA IPCC Examination. 
• Candidates should have registered with the ICAI Board of Studies (BOS) Portal. 
• The Candidate should have completed their AICITSS Training. 
• Candidates should have completed a minimum of 2.5 years of articleship training to appear in the CA Final 2024 Examination.

After fulfilling the eligibility criteria of CA Final Course 2026, students can appear in one or both groups of the CA Final Examination after completion of Articleship training of 3 years.

Students who fulfill the eligibility criteria of the CA Final Examination can apply for the Registration Procedure of the CA Final Examination.

CA Final Course Registration Process is done Online from the ICAI official website.

Students need to register for the CA Final Course to appear in the CA final exams. Candidates can log in to their ICAI examination portal to commence the registration process.

If any student registers late for their CA Final exam, their attempt will be delayed by six months.

CA Final Registration Procedure

Below is the step-by-step procedure for the CA Final Course Online Registration Procedure.

ICAI CA Final registration procedure is purely Online. Students need to follow the below-mentioned procedure for registration of CA Final exams-

Step 1- Students need to visit the ICAI website, for CA Final registration form, click on the “Student Tab” under registration forms.

Step-2 Now, Login into your ICAI student portal with your given Login ID and Password. 

Step 3: Tap on the SSP. Two options will appear on the screen: “Students Cycle” and “Article Cycle.” 

Step-4 Now select the student cycle option click on the CA Final, and choose the courses.

Step-5 CA Final Course Registration Form will appear on the Screen. 

Step-6 The student’s Basic information will appear on the form. Kindly check it before tapping on the next. 

Step-7  Students are advised to upload all documents required for the CA Final Registration Form. 

Step-8 After completing the CA Final Course Registration Form, Students must submit the CA Final Course Registration Fee through Debit/Credit/Net Banking.

Step-9 After submission of the CA Final Course Registration Fee, students can take the printout of the CA Final Course Registration Form.

CA Final Registration Fees

Appearing students have to only pay for the CA Final Registration Fees. Apart from this, there are no other fees to be paid by the students, unlike the CA Foundation and CA Intermediate Fees. 

CA Final Registration Validity

The CA final registration eligibility is valid for 5 years. Students can revalidate the CA final registration at any point for another 5 years by paying a validation amount of Rs. 500, as decided by the ICAI.

CA Final Course Concession Fee

ICAI provides the concession fee to special categories of states across India. ICAI has set up upto 75% of concession rates for the students.

Below are the states where ICAI provides the CA Final Course Concession fee to the student.

• Ladakh 
• Arunachal Pradesh
• New formed union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. 
• Meghalaya
• Manipur
• Assam 
• Mizoram 
• Nagaland
• Sikkim 
• Tripura

The ICAI Concession rule is valid up to March, Under this students only have to pay 5500 Rs as the CA Final Registration Process.

Important Documents Required for CA Final Registration

Students are required to upload the following documents while filling up their CA Final Registration Form.

• If a student is foreign, attested copy proof of his/her nationality.
• If students are SC/ ST/ OBC or differently-able, an attested copy of proof and a certificate of a special category.
• CA IPCC/CA Intermediate Marksheet of the student.
• Passport-size photo of the student. 
• Signature of the student. 

CA Final Course Subjects and Syllabus

The CA Final Course comprises 6 papers divided into 2 groups. Appearing candidates can appear for either one group or both groups of the CA Final Examination. Each Subject is worth 100 Marks.

CA Final Application Procedure and Fees

To appear in CA Final’s upcoming exams, students need to fill out the CA Final application form with the requisite fees. The application form will be commenced just after the declaration of the CA Final Result, and ICAI will accept the application request until one month after the commencement of the CA Final application form.

Those students can fill out the CA Final application form and are registered for CA Final Exams before.

How to Fill the CA Final Exam Form? 

Below are the steps for filling out the CA Final Application/ Exam form from the ICAI website.

Step 1- Login to your dashboard account if you are registered with the ICAI Portal by entering your login ID and Password and clicking on the login

Step 2: Check all the details shown in the Application form carefully. If you are satisfied with the mentioned details, Save and preview the form and click on the Submit button to submit your application/ examination form.

Step 3– After submitting it, pay the requisite CA Final Application fee and make an online payment.

Step 4: After making the payment, save the application filled form for further purposes.
