CA Foundation Course is the entry-level exam for pursuing a Chartered Accountancy Course in India. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is responsible for conducting CA Examination in India. After passing the CBSE Class 12th examination or equivalent examination recognized by the government, students can register with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the CA Foundation Course.
Students who want to enroll in the CA Foundation course must systematically complete the CA Foundation Registration and Application form. The registration process is held thrice a year: in January, June, and September. The ICAI issues new CA Foundation Registration Forms after the current session’s CA Foundation result is declared.
CA Foundation Eligibility for June 2025 Exam
Students are eligible to appear in the CA Foundation Examination only after qualifying for the senior secondary (10+2) examination conducted by an examining body.
After registration with ICAI, Students are required to complete a minimum of four months of study starting from the date of registration to be eligible to appear in the Foundation Examination. Students registered before 1st February 2025 will be eligible to appear for the December examination.

CA Foundation Online Registration Process
The process of CA Foundation registration starts with filling out the Online Registration Form for the Jan 2025 Examination. You can start filling out your online registration form using the online registration process below.
Steps for Filling CA Foundation Reg. Form Online June 2025 Examination
Step 1- Students who are registering for the very first time for CA Foundation Examination, should click here.
You will be taken to this screen. Please fill in your required details and click on Generate OTP. You will receive OTP on your mobile phone and the verification link will be sent to your concerned mail ID.
Step 2- Now, students are required to enter the CAPTCHA text and submit it to receive OTP.
Step 3- For validation, an OTP will be sent
Step 4- Fill in the OTP and by validating complete the login process
Step 5- Once you complete the OTP Validations, you will receive the login details via Email/SMS so that you can log in. You can log in here.
Step 6—After you log in, you must provide the necessary credentials in the registration form. There, you must also upload scanned copies of your original documents.
Details mentioned in the CA Foundation BOS Registration 2025 are:
- Name of the Father
- Name of the mother
- Your Complete address
- City
- Pin code
- Category
- Nationality
Step 7- Now you need to upload your scanned photograph and signature. The maximum image ratio should be width: 21 cm and length: 27 cm.
Step 8—After you complete the above-mentioned process, you must pay the required CA Foundation registration fees.
On successful payment, the system will automatically generate a successful transaction message along with the form.
Here, you complete your CA Foundation Registration process. Now, ICAI will send you the CA Foundation course Study Material through CDS(Centralized Dispatch System).
Documents required for CA Foundation Reg. Process
Below are the documents which are required for the ICAI CA Foundation Registration Process-
- Appearing students are required to have an attested copy of the mark sheet/ Admit card of their 12th Class.
- International students, they required a copy of proof of their citizenship.
- Students in the SC/ST/OBC special category are required to submit a certificate of proof.
- The Latest photo of appearing students to affix on the registration form.
- A copy of the 10th mark sheet, which shows the student’s name and date of birth.
While filling out the CA Foundation Registration form, candidates should take into consideration the following points
Follow the below points to avoid errors in the CA Foundation registration form.
- After filling out the online form, a candidate has to pay the required fees online using the payment gateway.
- On successful payment, the system will automatically generate the form. Then, take the print of the form.
- Along with print out of the online registration form, the following documents are to be submitted to the concerned Regional Office of ICAI within 7 days of the date of online registration
- The duly signed printout of the online successful registration form in hard copy
- One recent color photograph (affixed on the printout of the online successful registration form)
- Attested copy of the 10th Marksheet/Admit Card of the 10th class indicating the Name & Date of Birth
- Attested copy of Admit Card / Mark sheet of Class 12 examination issued by the respective board
- If a student is a foreigner, then an attested copy of proof of Nationality should also be submitted.
- For students of reserved category and disabled students, an attested copy of proof of special category certificate, i.e., SC/ST, OBC, and differently-abled, should be provided.
Why Do Students Need a CA Foundation Registration Letter Before Exam?
ICAI always advises students to bring their CA Foundation registration letter along with the admit card. In the absence of admit cards, if a student has a registration letter, he/she can appear in the examination after some procedures. If students lose their registration number, the registration letter helps them claim it.

Students who are concerned about their CA Foundation registration can check their registration process status online, whether they filled out the form correctly or not. Below are the two steps that will ensure that your registration has been successful.
- After completing the registration process, students will receive a confirmation mail with the CA Foundation Registration Number and password.

After completing the CA Foundation Registration, students are also required to fill out the CA Foundation application form for appearing in the Foundation Examination. The registration in the Foundation Course is valid for 3 years. It can be revalidated any number of times for a further 3 years by paying a revalidation fee of Rs. 300/-.
